Draping!

This is just a long to the floor dress the has a really deep sweetheart neckline!

I realized that I haven't really said much before about what I have attached to the fashion world besides just loving clothes! I plan on going to FIDM for collage which is the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising! What I really want to go into is wedding dress design along with formal dress design! So what I have started to do is something called draping. Draping is when you take big pieces of fabric and design pieces of clothing around a dress form (manikin) and then just pinning it! Never having it be sewn! So these are a few things that I have draped, there are more but I didn't want to have to many pictures! All of these dresses are made out of the same piece of fabric! This is a great way just to get the ideas that you have in your head out to see them in real life! You never have to cut or sew anything!

Look for today!

My look for today is a 70's, laid back, denim grunge, look. So the main component of this outfit is the extra large denim jacket that used to be my brothers that he never wore.... so i stole it, but he doesn't even notice.  But i made sure that even though i am wearing a denim jacket and denim jeggings i kept the denim different shades to keep me from looking like a Backstreet Boy. Anyway this look is a little more grungier then what you might see me wear, but technically i don't have a specific style. I wear what i want when i feel like it, because i find it hard to keep up an image and a certain look. Also i like so many different styles and trends so it's hard to decide, but kudos to those who can! So, for this look i kept the hair on the grungy side with a boho braid (which are my favorite), thick eyeliner on my top lids, black lace up booties, an ombre, purple, scarf and besides that minimal accessories. Look for today!

My look today was fairly simple and comfortable since all i did was stay glued to my laptop and help my grandma with stuff around her house, but i really wanted to wear these oxfords, so i did. But if i had to label this outfit it would be a minimalist twist outfit. It has that simple classic inspired look on the top, but since it's so hot i paired them with highwaisted jeans and minimal accessories. My hair was simple as well with a my bangs in a boho braid and my hair pulled back into a semi-slick ponytail (which means i ran my fingers through it). And for my makeup besides my regular routine of foundation, mascara, and blush, i added some eye-liner on the top of my lid for an 80's esque look and some nude lip gloss. I really can't wait for Fall I love all the layers, comfy knits, and tights, but until then i hope you enjoyed this look! Home sweet home!!

Yay! I just came home from Vegas a few hours ago! It was great we stayed at the Palazzo and i actually didn't do too much shopping (not including all the window shopping), alot of sightseeing, tons of walking, pictures taking, swimming, eating, sleeping, I got to watch the Blue Man Group show which was fantastic, and i went to the Mandalay Bay hotel to see the shark and fish exhibit! Also while i was there i got to pick up on few trends that im interested in! Im really loving the brights for Fall, i love the trench coats from Kate Spade and Juicy Couture, cozy knits from D&G, the great lace up booties from Aldo, and I love the preppy school girl look with tons of button downs, skirts, sweaters, and oxfords from Forever21and Urban Outfitters take on that trend. And as you may already know i have been shopping alot lately for back to school so I didn't do too much shopping in Vegas but I did buy a few things such as......

some nail polish from the biggest Forever21 in the world! The colors i chose were for my double personalities, the turquoise for my edgier fun side, and the pink for my preppy classic side. I got both pairs of shoes from Forever21 which was great cause they're both cheaper takes on some of my favorite Fall trends the oxfords and lace up booties, and lastly the keychain is just something i did in the car. I made 2 lanyards and added my rabbits foot, a Coach keychain, and a friendship bracelet. It's another Fall trend im loving you can see on some on the bags in TeenVogue cause its great for back to school and is a cute playful touch to any backpack or purse. I also went to the Mac store and im planning on buying this lipstick called Hellraiser from there new very glittery fun line. You should definitly check it out on the website it's a great playful color. So anyway I had a great time and I'm gonna go to sleep now cause i am soo tired and i miss my bed! I'll be sure to post tomorrow!

Just some information for all of you!! :)

So I though it might be good to let you all know what you can look forward to from me on our blog! I am really going to try to post some outfits of the day! I need an attachment for my camera so that I can upload pictures to my computer and I just haven't gotten a chance to get it yet! Then I will be posting more pictures!! But besides just posting things about fashion, I am a huge makeup lover so I think I am going to start bringing some of my knowledge of makeup to the blog as well! I will post things about different makeup companies and different products...and other things along those lines! So I hope this just gave you a little idea of the kind of things you will be able to see here soon!! :) Also when Brianne gets back she will post tons more of fashion related stuff as well as I will too!! Because we are a fashion blog! haha :)

Vegas!

Hey guys so today I am leaving for Vegas! Im soo excited for the shopping, the sleeping, the shows, and the swimming!!! Anyway since I will not be able to bring my laptop i won't be able to post :( but i will make sure i post as soon as i get back in 5 or 6 days. If you have any requests for a post just comment! I will be taking a ton of pictures and shopping so i will have a great post when i come back! And hopefully Emma will be able to post!

1 shirt 2 ways!!

So this post is called 1 shirt 2 ways, obviously. It was perfect because we happened to have bought the exact same shirt, so we decided to use it to our advantage! The shirt is perfect for Fall in California with the rich colors and 3/4 sleeves but its also great for the ending and the rest of summer with shorts. So the first way is Brianne's way in a more casual festival kind of way, with the shorts, which is probably good for the end of summer. The accessories for this look are all earthy in a way and are fun with the charm bracelets and the huge ring. Emma's look is more Fall proof but still casual edgy with the skinny jeans and booties. The accessories for this look are kept more simple but they go perfect with this outfit. So this just goes to show its easy to wear 1 shirt 2 ways. Enjoy! Good Girls Gone Bad!

Good girls gone bad was the theme of this photoshoot! The idea was to dress up in dresses and accessorize them the complete opposite style then the dresses were to create contrast. Now we know it's not a particularly new concept, but honestly it was just soo much fun dressing we had to take pictures of it! Emma's dress is a little bit more on the dark, vampiress, edgy side with all the black lace, but she paired it with black booties and fishnets to keep it edgy, a few strands of pearl chains for a girlier appeal, and a black bow headband that looked great with her red hair. Brianne wore a girly, funky, electric dress with black wedged booties, a black leather jacket, long thick chains, and a cute headband, her accessories were a little bit more edgy because her dress was soo bright and fun. So we hope you enjoy our pictures and definitly let us know what you think! Look for today!

Today was great! Me and Emma got to hang out!!!! We also have a bunch of pics we took in amazing dresses, but I'll probably post them tomorrow cause there are soo many pictures to upload and that gives me so little sleeping time since i am exhausted. Me and Emma went to the Ontario Mills mall, then went to my house and took pictures, then she left and i am now posting! Anyway so my outfit today consisted of a fun, colorful, plaid, highwaisted, flare skirt with a simple tank and a few accessories. Today was a fun, hang out, shopping day but it never hurts to look good! My pictures are a little blurry cause the lighting was off so i couldn't use flash and my little sister took the pictures but im also really into the blurry look because it makes the pictures look more interesting, which i love! This outfit was actually really easy to change in and out of in dressing rooms when we were shopping at the Abercrombie Outlet, Forever21, H&M, and the Betsey Johnson Outlet. So yea! Hope you enjoy ever so much!!! Look for today!

So...... my outfit today was inspired by sweet clouds with a skirt..... and i just bought this shirt so i really wanted to wear it! Since the shirt has a really nice eyelet design on the neck i just kept the accessories simple and my hair in a messy braid and navy blue ballet flats. The look is really sweet not what i used to. but what i've been into lately including yesterdays outfit. Anyway my new obsession is this store called Zara! I went shopping today on Hollywood and Highland payed a visit to American Apparel, Zara, and H&M. Since i am soo petite the store Zara was perfect for me, because they had a kids section, but the kids section wasn't all tutu's and rhinestones it actually had uber cute dresses, leggings, and shirts that were on sale. I bought 2 dresses(that were very well made), and 2 gorgeous white flowy shirts(cause i love white). So i hope you enjoyed my look for today!
